Budget Law 2022, ok by the Parliament
In the 2022 Budget Law measures also in the gaming sector.
With 355 votes in favor and 45 against, the Chamber definitively approved the bill "State budget for the financial year 2022 and multi-year budget for the three-year period 2022-2024". The Maneuver also contains measures for the gaming sector. In particular in art. 1 "(...) 549. The following amendments are made to the aforementioned consolidated text referred to in the decree of the President of the Republic August 31, 1972, no. 670: a) to article 75, paragraph 1, letter g), after the words: "Or other public bodies" the following is added: "; the aforementioned revenues also include those deriving from the collection of all games with cash prizes, both of a fiscal and non-fiscal nature, as they are constituted, net of winnings and bonuses due to licensees, from tax profits "; 550. The shares due to the autonomous provinces pursuant to article 75, paragraph 1, letter g), of the consolidated text referred to in the decree of the President of the Republic August 31, 1972, no. 670, as amended by paragraph 549, letter a) , Relating to the income deriving from the collection of games with cash prizes, are calculated by accounting, for the game on the physical network, of the bets collected in the territory of each province and, for remote gaming, of the bets made through gaming accounts registered to players residing in the territory of each province ";" 870. In order to guarantee the functioning of the recently opened equestrian facilities, a fund of 3 million euros has been set up at the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies for year 2022 and 4 million euros for the year 2023 ". With regard to Section II - Approval of estimates - in Art. 3 (Estimated state of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and related provisions) reads: "16. The Minister of Economy and Finance, with its own decrees, in the financial year 2022, adjusts the appropriations of the chapters intended for the payment of prizes and winnings for prediction games, bets and lotteries, in correspondence with the 'actual trend of the related collections “. Finally, in Art. 20 (Various provisions) reads: “15. The sums allocated on chapter 2295 of the forecast of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, intended for interventions already under the responsibility of the suppressed Agency for the development of the equestrian sector, for the financing of the prize money for races, in the event of non-adoption of the decree provided for by article 1, paragraph 281, of law 311 of 30 December 2004, or, in any case, pending its issuance, constitute the determination of the portion of tax and non-tax revenues deriving from public games with winnings in money granted in concession to the State pursuant to paragraph 282 of the same article 1 of the aforementioned law no. 311 of 2004″.
